Is an online share register legally valid in Switzerland?

Yes. Swiss company law requires the board to keep a share register with name and address of every shareholder and beneficial owner; it does not prescribe paper. das-aktienregister.ch keeps the register with a complete, dated history of every entry, so it can be produced at any time, for example for the auditor.

What does the free online template include?

The Online-Vorlage Aktienbuch lets you create a share register without an account: company, security types, nominal values and up to about 20 shareholders, with a printable register. Moving to the Professional register later keeps all data.

How long does the switch from Excel take?

For a typical SME with fewer than 100 shareholders the import from an Excel or CSV list takes minutes; the 7-day trial needs no credit card. Larger registers and full histories are migrated by us as a special order.

Is a video general meeting permitted under Swiss law?

Yes, since the 2023 revision of company law a general meeting may be held virtually or in hybrid form if the articles of association allow it. das-aktienregister.ch runs the video room, voting, proxies and minutes from the register; the legal form is confirmed by your legal advisor.

Where is the data hosted and who owns it?
